Daniel asked:

I have VMware Fusion 1.1 for the Mac (13.3″ Unibody; 2 GHz Core 2 Duo; 2 GB; NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB). Are there optimal settings and preferences for playing PC games like Fallout 3, BioShock and Oblivion? If so, what are they?

If you are having problems then consider setting up a Boot Camp partition on your Mac and then you can reboot into Windows when you want to play a game.

Before doing that though, try upgrading to the latest VMware Fusion, as it has much better support for graphics hardware, 3D acceleration, etc.

The first answer is on crack. Macs are great for games. That said, it’s probably best to just buy the Mac versions of your favorite games and play those. But you can also set up Windows as a “Boot Camp” partition. That should work better than a virtual machine - since you’re not running both OS’s at the same time.
